CSZ Club Ride Rules.
GENERAL RULE:
Our club rides are free of charge and we offer free drinks at the end of every ride. We love organising these rides for our community and loyal customers. That said, organising and running them takes up a fair bit of our time and resources.
If you belong to the group of cyclists who prefer to shop online at the lowest price rather than supporting your local bike store, we kindly ask you to stay true to yourself and, in line with your shopping preferences, stick to virtual rides and find your community online instead of taking advantage of ours.
A big thank you to our loyal customers for your continued support!
CLUB RIDE RULES:
• Be nice to each other
• Adhere to the philosophy of the given ride (social/ fast/ race)
• No racing on descents (it’s fun, we know, but it’s dangerous)
• A helmet is mandatory
• Lights are mandatory
• No use of tri-bars
• No ear-buds or headphones
• No center-lining (Stay on the right side of the road at all times)
• Up to two abreast only where traffic and road permits
• Pass hand signals through the group and indicate road hazards orally
• Minimize abrupt maneuvres in the group, such as sudden braking, swerving, and standing up
• Do not half wheel in the group
• Indicate to those behind you before you pedal standing up
• Follow and obey all road laws
• Wait for the rest of the group where necessary, eg. Group behind are waiting at traffic lights

• Download route in advance (if available)
• Have fun!
Participation in Cycle Store Zurich group rides is entirely at your own risk. No Cycle Store Zurich Organisers or Ride Leaders are liable in any way and under no circumstances for any damage, loss, or injury.
We hold no tolerance towards discrimination. Any forms of racism, xenophobia, sexism or homophobia will result in a lifetime ban from participating in our events.
Cycle Store Zurich reserves the right to exclude participants if they pose a threat to the safety of themselves or others, or fail to obey traffic rules and rules above specified by the organizers.
Happy Riding!
