BMC Switzerland is a premium, Swiss, bike brand. Established in 1994. The relationship to
performance cycling began when BMC began supplying the Swiss professional road racing team Phonak Cycling,
whose then patron was Andy Rihs, owner of international hearing company of the same name.
Rihs took over BMC in 2000 with the vision of building a carbon production facility to produce the ‘Porsche of race bikes’,
and so he did. The factory changed how the company approaches bike manufacturing and over the years,
it has evolved into the Impec Advanced R&D Lab. Precision engineering and an innovative approach to research
and development are at the core of BMC and no other cycling manufacturer has so
many tools at its disposal under one roof.
BMC’s bikes meet the highest standards in quality, design and manufacturing and the company
invests heavily in research and development to continue to improve its designs and technologies. BMC has written
its way into history by supplying bikes for the world’s top athletes, winning races such as the Tour de France,
the Team Time Trial and Road World Championships, the MTB XCO World Championships and
numerous Ironman Championships.
it's all for the ride.
